Lauren Giurini

Lauren’s interests lie in the social determinants of health and specifically in neighborhood-level factors. Her current work is exploring how neighborhood environments impacts obesity and colorectal cancer outcomes, and she hopes to explore the health impacts of redlining and mortgage lending discrimination in the future. Lauren completed her BS in Mathematics and Neuroscience from Lake Forest College and is currently a PhD student in the Epidemiology Program.
