Lisa Parlato

Lisa is a Chronic Disease Prevention Specialist at Johnson County Public Health in Iowa City, Iowa. She works in the Community Health Division and assists with projects including the Community Health Assessment/Community Health Improvement Planning (CHA/CHIP), analyzing data from the state and county level to identify trends and areas of focus, and coordinating community health promotion programs. Lisa enjoys the balance of quantitative and qualitative work identifying root causes of health inequities, designing and implementing assessments, and building relationships with community partners to address social determinants of health. In Lisa’s community- or population-health work, she abides by the rule of “nothing about us without us”. In Lisa’s free time she seeks out local art, music events, and spends time outdoors.
